Stick to Your Schedule
People expect that they will be at a shoot longer than they are told. But when you put in a long day, it’s really nice to be told it’s time to go home! I actually build an extra hour into the schedule because so many things can go wrong and there are so many ways things can get delayed. Sometimes that hour is the buffer we need and we leave right on time. Sometimes we are done a few minutes before. Sometimes we are way behind and work really, really hard to finish before that end time. I like to do this because it’s builds peoples’ trust and they know that they can plan the rest of their lives around what you told them. And next time, they will be willing to work with you again.
